π¨ Security Incident Response – What You Need to Know
Welcome to the Protel BPO Incident Response page.
Security incidents can happen at any time, and how quickly we respond makes a big difference. Every user plays an important role in helping protect our systems and client information.
⚠️ What is a Security Incident?
A security incident is anything that could affect the security of company systems or data, such as:
- Suspicious emails (phishing)
- Malware or viruses
- Unauthorized access to systems
- Lost or stolen devices
- System outages or unusual behavior
- Possible data exposure
π€ Your Responsibility (VERY IMPORTANT)
All users must:
- Immediately report any suspicious activity or incident
- Follow instructions from the IT Team during an incident
- Avoid taking unauthorized actions that could worsen the situation
- Continue to handle data carefully and securely at all times
- Ensure all files and information are reviewed before sharing or sending

π How to Report an Incident
If you notice something unusual:
- Contact the IT Team immediately
- Provide:
- What happened
- When it happened
- What system or device is affected
- Do not attempt to fix the issue yourself unless instructed
π« What You Should NOT Do
During a suspected incident:
- Do NOT ignore the issue
- Do NOT try to investigate on your own
- Do NOT delete files or logs
- Do NOT share information with unauthorized persons
⚡ What Happens After You Report
The IT and Incident Response Team will:
- Investigate the issue
- Contain the threat
- Fix the problem
- Restore systems safely
- Document and review the incident
